WASHINGTON, Sept. 12 /Christian Newswire/ -- World Congress of Families Communications Director Don Feder will address the 2008 Value Voters Summit today, September 12, at 12:00 noon (E.T.), Feder will speak on the coming crisis engendered by declining birth rates, also known as Demographic Winter.
The Value Voters Summit is a annual US gathering of pro-family leaders, communicators and activists. This year's Summit will take place in the International Ballroom of the Hilton Washington, 1919 Connecticut Ave, NW, Washington, D.C.
World Congress of Families Managing Director Larry Jacobs said Feder's appearance at the 2008 Value Voters Summit was significant for two reasons.
"For at least the past decade, World Congress of Families has been warning of the impact of plummeting birthrates. We also helped inspire and create the documentary 'Demographic Winter: the decline of the human family.' The producers approached us with the idea and we gave them encouragement and space to begin filming at World Congress of Families IV, in Warsaw in 2007," Jacobs noted.
Jacobs added: "Feder's speech is also timely because World Congress of Families V (Amsterdam, August 10-12, 2009) is less than a year away. We hope that many of the participants in the Value Voters Summit will join us in Amsterdam next August."
