WASHINGTON, Dec. 1 /Christian Newswire/ -- Obama's expected appointment of Hillary Clinton as his Secretary of State may delight women voters. It troubles Rev. Edmond Locklear, Jr. of Pembroke, NC. He is the author of "The Sermon".
Locklear says he wrote Clinton in March, '08. He asked her to withdraw her bid for the U.S. Presidency. If she continued she would be usurping authority over men and therefore blaspheming and transgressing God's Word at Gen. 3:16 and 1 Tim. 2:11-14 and other verses. All her voters would become partakers in her wrong.
She didn't withdraw. The only results Locklear got were he was accosted by one of her male supporters and called 'low down' for saying that about a lady.
Rev. Locklear turned to praying. He asked God to defeat her. God did. Locklear put a copy of his letter to Clinton in his book, "The Sermon", for readers to decide if she should have withdrawn.
When McCain took Palin as his running mate and potential candidate for Vice-President, Locklear didn't write. He prayed. He claims God defeated McCain and Palin.
Locklear thinks Bush's appointment of Rice as Secretary of State was a sad omen for America. He expected most foreign governments to close their doors to Rice because they have more control of their women.
He can't see much improvement in America's worldwide standing since Rice became Secretary of State. He does see more animosity toward us and our allies. Consider the Thanksgiving attack in Mumbai, India.
He does not expect any better with Clinton in the office. In fact, he thinks it is going to be worse. He thinks her appointment is to appease women. He says Obama should not gamble with America's fragile security that way.
Locklear wrote in l984 Princess Diana would not celebrate her 5th wedding anniversary and Russia would break apart. Diana didn't. Russia did. Now, he thinks the same about Clinton as Secretary of State. Locklear expects foreign nations to close their doors to her.

He says putting women in top government jobs not suited for a woman just to satisfy women voters is too dangerous for any nation. Elevating women to where they usurp authority over men is clearly forbidden by God's Word. Locklear explains it all in his book.
