Christian Newswire/ -- Revival Movement Association printed 91 million items of Gospel Literature during the past year. This consisted of items such as Gospel tracts, Gospels of John (over 10 Million), Gospel booklets and sets of Children’s Bible Lessons. This literature is printed in 95 Languages and distributed free of charge to many different mission organisations, churches, pastors and individual Christian workers in 120 countries.
During 2010 Revival Movement Association used a total of 1,358 Tonnes of paper in their printing factory which is based just outside Belfast, in Northern Ireland. This was an increase of about 350 Tonnes of paper used on any previous year due to the new factory which the organisation moved into during 2009. This new 32,000 Sq. Ft. Factory has been a tremendous blessing with the additional printing equipment which was purchased at the time of relocation.
On average 5 Tonnes of paper is used each working day by 3 large printing presses. The finishing equipment consists of folding machines, Guillotine, Collator and Saddle Stitchers. The two saddle stitchers can produce 120,000 Gospel booklets each day. Most of the literature is shipped to missions in 20ft Containers. On average each of these containers will hold 18 – 20 Tonnes of Gospel Literature. Smaller quantities are sent on pallets or by post.
Revival Movement Association work in cooperation with many Evangelistic organisations. Recently they supplied Child Evangelism Fellowship with 2.4 Million “Wonder Devotional” Booklets in Spanish and Portuguese for their ministry in Central and South America. These booklets consist of daily readings to encourage boys and girls to take time to read the Word of God and pray each day.
Even with all the Gospel literature that is being produced, Revival Movement Association have many more requests for literature than they can provide, hence they have a waiting list from ministries requesting literature for Evangelism.
The ministry was commenced over 60 years ago by Ernest Allen to promote the subject of Revival, however the ministry has grown into a worldwide Gospel Literature mission. Considering that all this literature is shipped to missions free of charge, it is amazing to realise that this ministry is funded mostly by individual Christians from Northern Ireland. This is one Good News story from a country which has known so much strife for many years.
