CHICAGO, May 13, 2014 /
Christian Newswire/ -- May 21-22, 2014: The Time Is Now summit is sponsored by World Trumpet Mission (WTM), an international, interdenominational prayer and prophetic ministry, working for the fulfillment of God's purposes in the nations and preparing His people worldwide for the LORD's return.
The purpose for this summit: To build a coalition of people who sense God's calling to cry out for revival and spiritual awakening in their cities; to learn strategies for breakthrough; to pray for each other; to encourage each other until an outpouring of the Spirit of God results in the awakening of Chicago and America. This effort will be a collaboration between World Trumpet Mission and OneCry.
Founded in 1988 by John Mulinde, World Trumpet Mission has its roots in the nation of Uganda, where travailing prayer during oppressive government dictatorships birthed a movement that transformed the whole nation. WTM has grown into an international, interdenominational ministry with the global mission and mandate of Joel 2:1 "to blow the trumpet" warning of the impending Day of the Lord, awakening and equipping the Church, to finish Christ's mission to the nations.
OneCry is a national movement of like-minded people, churches, and organizations that are urgently crying out to God to revive the church and transform the culture. The National Director of OneCry is Randy Hekman.
The plan: To invite pastors and ministry leaders to Chicago for two purposes: (1) to continue our collaboration and networking; and (2) to learn from international experts who have seen firsthand the move of God in other nations with effective results. The summit meetings are from 9:30AM to 11:30AM and 12:30PM to 2:00PM on both days, for ministry leaders & pastors only. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. The guest speakers are from World Trumpet Mission, Rev. Dr. John Mulinde, Kampala, Uganda and Pastor Mark Daniel, Orlando, FL. These men travel and speak internationally about revival and cultural transformation and have recently co-authored the book Prayer Altars: A Strategy That Is Changing Nations. In addition to the morning meetings, there will be evening services for the public at 7:00 PM on both days, with worship and teachings. There is no charge for this event. A free-will offering will be taken during the evening meetings.
The summit is slated for May 21-22, 2014 at Chicago Embassy Church, 5848 S. Princeton Ave, Chicago, IL 60621. The host pastor will be Bishop Edward Peecher. Register online at:
