MEDIA ADVISORY, April 12 /Christian Newswire/ -- The following is a statement by Judge Roy S. Moore regarding recent remarks made by Senator Obama: 

"It has been brought to my attention that Senator Barack Hussein Obama, Democratic candidate for President, has made recent remarks in Iowa concerning the display of the Ten Commandments at the Alabama Judicial Building in Montgomery, Alabama, when I was Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court.  From his remarks, it is evident that Mr. Obama does not understand religious freedom and the importance of recognizing God as the sovereign source of Law, Liberty and Government.  That is exactly what our forefathers intended, not some neutral politically correct position which makes some people feel good.  It is just such an attitude which leads to taking God out of our Pledge, "In God We Trust" off our money, and Christianity out of our lives.  If Senator Obama wishes to debate these matters, I will be more than happy to do so."
