CAPE COD, Maine, April 16, 2024 /Christian Newswire/ -- On June 3-6 and September 8-11, the Community of Jesus welcomes visitors to take part in the ancient and beautiful form of sung prayer, focusing on the Chants of the Martyrs and the Chants of Mary at The Church of the Transfiguration. Community members lead the retreats sharing treasures of this spiritual practice that harken back through the centuries, yet offer a fresh and new voice for today. From the richness of the Latin texts, to the expressive melodies, and the simple genius of the ancient neumes, participants will gain deeper experience and understanding into this monastic tradition.
