WASHINGTON, July 14 /Christian Newswire/ -- This Monday, July 17, 2006, at 1:15 pm representatives from the National Pro-Life Action Center on Capitol Hill (NPLAC)—in conjunction with representatives from several other organizations—will hold a press conference to address why the federal funding of embryonic stem cell research is ethically, morally and financially corrupt. The press conference will include moral positions on the controversial Santorum-Specter “compromise” bill.
The press conference begins at 1:15 p.m. immediately following Senator Brownback’s press conference at noon. The location is yet to be announced.
“There must be a vision guiding our scientific experimentation, a vision that respects all human life from the first moment of its existence,” stated Kimberly Zenarolla, director of strategic development for NPLAC. “This so-called compromise legislation leaves the door open for the manufacture of defective embryos and the exploitation of economically disadvantaged women for their eggs.”
