WASHINGTON, Aug. 28 /Christian Newswire/ -- On Friday, August 29, 2008, the White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives (OFBCI) will convene a Compassion in Action roundtable titled, "Advancing Compassion and Service Strategies at the State Level." Hosted by OFBCI Director Jay Hein, the Roundtable will focus on innovative and effective state-level efforts to partner volunteer outreach and support with their Faith-Based and Community Initiative activities to expand public-private partnerships with frontline nonprofits to more effectively address community
challenges.
