BELLEVIEW, Neb., Sept. 5 /Christian Newswire/ -- Late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart refused comment for a news story about how abortionists are complying with the Partial-birth Abortion Ban Act. He would not respond to calls that questioned whether or not he was complying with the new law.

"What is LeRoy Carhart hiding? His boss in Kansas, George Tiller, is facing 19 counts of illegal abortions for different reasons, but could Carhart also be defying the law? The Federal government must launch immediate investigations of late-term abortionists to insure that they are not committing dangerous, illegal abortions," said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. "We have few laws that prohibit abortion. Those we do have should be enforced."

Carhart, who defended the grisly abortion procedure twice to the Supreme Court, conducts late-term abortions at his Belleview, Nebraska, abortion mill and in Wichita, Kansas, at George Tiller's Women's Health Care Services.

Late-abortionists across the country are adopting the use of lethal injection of pre-born babies prior to late-term abortions in order to prevent violation of the Federal ban on live partial-birth abortions that was recently declared to be Constitutional by the U.S. Supreme Court.

However, even abortionists disagree on the safety of lethal injections for the mother, so much so that many have refused to do them.

"The truth is that all abortions are barbaric and unsafe for women based on abortion deaths and complications, and accounts of filthy and unsafe abortion mills that have surfaced in just the past couple of years," said Newman. "When women walk into abortion clinics, they might as well be playing Russian Roulette with their lives."
