CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., March 13, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ -- Christian Aid Mission introduced its new president and CEO to the Christian public during the National Religious Broadcasters Convention last month in Nashville, Tennessee.
The Board of Directors of Christian Aid has named Randy Vaught, a pastor from Kentucky, as the new leader of the organization. Christian Aid is the oldest mission agency focusing exclusively on the support of indigenous missions. Vaught has served on the Board of Directors of Christian Aid faithfully for over 16 years.
Founded in 1953, Christian Aid links American churches and mission-minded individuals to indigenous missions in 122 countries. Today it sends help to more than 800 native mission ministries that deploy over 80,000 missionary workers serving the Lord among 3000 tribes, tongues and nations.
Vaught, 61, founded the Capital Baptist Church of Frankfort, KY in 1980 and has pastored there for over 30 years. During his years at Capital, he led his church in the support of indigenous missions around the world. He and his wife Vicki have six children.
Vaught says his priority will be to advance the spiritual climate of the organization. He went on to say that he comes to his office to first all give himself to prayer and the ministry of the Word of God to equip the staff for the work of supporting God's Kingdom expansion among all nations.
He concluded by saying, "I believe God has strategically prepared Christian Aid to shine the life and light of Jesus Christ to all the nations of the earth."
