GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn., Sept. 25, 2014 /Christian Newswire/ -- "It's time to throw away those rejection letters and knock the dust off that old manuscript," says Robert Bakke, author of Amazon's best selling new book, Prayer at Full Throttle. "With today's technology, the e-book boom and the internet at everyone's fingertips, everyone with a manuscript has a shot at success in the publishing business. And in today's economy, that matters."
Viewed by many as an "over-achiever," Bakke has always managed to find his way to success, and in a multitude of areas. Self-Publishing can now be added to the list. Though his now successful book was rejected by only one agency, Bakke immediately chose to self-publish. "Even though the 'professionals' advised me not to self-publish, I don't have time for non-believers," states Bakke. He adds, "All you need is an idea from God and some belief in yourself. We published Prayer at Full Throttle in soft cover and e-book, and the e-book took off on a rocket ride. And we're not stopping." Bakke said they will soon have the new book available as an audio book. He is also having his first book, "BIG Wallet, NO Pants!" converted into the e-book format. It too will soon be available through Amazon.com.
Bakke states, "People ask why we call ourselves a 'performance' ministry. It's because, biblically speaking, the word 'performance' means to rise up, commit, endure, battle, finish and succeed. It's the secret to success and it hides right under everyone's noses. So do it! Believe in yourself. Then hook into Amazon's marketing machine and hang on."
