MINNEAPOLIS, June 23, 2022 /Christian Newswire/ -- The Society of Gilbert Keith Chesterton will host its 41st annual conference July 28-30 at the Marriott Milwaukee West Hotel in Waukesha, WI. This year's theme is Chesterton and Conversion: Learning to Think Again.

Dale Ahlquist, Society founder and president, will kick off the conference with a talk on the ripple effect G.K. Chesterton has had on countless others, including the author C.S. Lewis. Ahlquist will reflect on how the early 20th-century English writer and Christian apologist is more relevant today than ever. Interest in Chesterton has grown dramatically in recent years through the popular BBC television series based on his beloved Father Brown character.

Other conference speakers include John Walker, award-winning actor and star of EWTN's "Chesterton Station;" Joseph Pearce, director of publishing at the Augustine Institute and highly acclaimed author; and Christopher Check, president of Catholic Answers, who will be addressing the controversial topic of the legacy of Christopher Columbus. Along with talks on spirituality, localism, the art of argumentation, and many other topics, the conference will host the U.S. premiere of Magic, an Australian screen adaptation of G.K. Chesterton's comedic play of the same name.
 
Those interested in Chesterton as a literary figure, concerned about the education of their children and grandchildren, or simply seeking to strengthen their spirituality have found the conferences exceedingly helpful, if not transformational. The conference is co-hosted by the Chesterton Academy of Milwaukee. The Academy is part of the Chesterton Schools Network, an association of more than 50 classical high schools affiliated with the Society.
