ENUMCLAW, Wash., March 15, 2021 /Christian Newswire/ -- Following the death of George Floyd and the ensuing national spotlight on racial injustice, one Christian publisher asked, "How can we be part of the solution rather than just seeing a need and going back to business as usual?"

As an answer to that question, Athena Dean Holtz, publisher of Redemption Press, invited twenty-one Black Christian women to share their personal experiences with racism to "help educate those of us who are white and often in the dark about what our Black sisters face on a regular basis." The result is a powerful compilation entitled Black Voices of Wisdom. As a special edition of the She Writes for Him compilation series, Black Voices of Wisdom bridges a gap of misunderstanding and mistrust to help heal racial divides.

Featuring authors, Mercy Lokulutu, Robyn L. Gobin, and Sharon Norris Elliott, the new release gives voice to Black Christian writers who are ministers, educators, leaders, and mothers on how women of color are treated in our society, raising Black sons and daughters, and how we should respond to racism as Christ would have us. Each article includes a scripture, prayer, and reflection to reinforce the experience.
