WARRENVILLE, Ill., Oct. 4, 2016 /Christian Newswire/ -- Solid Reasons, a 501(c)3 evangelism and apologetics training and mentoring ministry, announces its seventh annual training conference, October 21-22, 2016 at Grace Church of DuPage in Warrenville, IL.
OneStory: Gospel, Purpose, Reality is designed to encourage followers of Jesus Christ as we engage in evangelistic and apologetic conversations that the Bible tells one story from Genesis to Revelation and from creation to consummation through the cross of Jesus Christ. The whole gospel is found in the totality of the Scripture narrative, both Old Testament and New Testament.
This year's event will feature engaging keynotes by Dr. Nicholas Perrin, Dean of the Graduate School at Wheaton College, addressing "The Power of a Whole Story, or Why So Many Are Telling Only Half the Truth about the Kingdom." Also keynoting are Drs. Joshua Chatraw and Mark Allen from Liberty University School of Divinity who will be speaking from their forthcoming book, Apologetics at the Cross, as well as Dr. Daryle Worley, teaching pastor at Grace Church of DuPage, speaking on "The Gospel in Light of Justice, Kindness, and Mercy." In all the conference will present nearly twenty different speakers and sessions.
"We live in a time and culture where reaching the lost is a greater challenge than ever as skepticism is on the rise," said Philip Alexander, president of Solid Reasons. "People are looking for meaning and purpose, they are looking for the one story of reality that makes sense of the world. Our conference this year is designed to connect the gospel to today's cultures by showing that the storyline of Scripture is the story of reality, from Genesis to Revelation."
Paul Rupple, director of discipleship for Solid Reasons, explained, "This conference is a unique blend of theology and apologetics, providing answers to life's greatest questions surrounding meaning and purpose for a person's life as defined by the Creator. I believe that it will be a life-changing experience for our guests." Friday evening will be offered at no charge to the public and discounted tickets are still available for the Saturday sessions.
