Non-profit organization that provides free health and educational services to women and men in Rockford, Illinois hopes to raise over $20,000 at event.

ROCKFORD, Ill., June 22, 2020 /Christian Newswire/ -- As the state of Illinois transitions to Phase 4 - Revitalization, The Pregnancy Care Center of Rockford announced today that it will host its annual fundraiser this Thursday at 7:00 p.m. via Facebook and YouTube. This phase of COVID-19 will allow gatherings of up to 50 people, which is less than the pregnancy center has had at past events. Planning with abundant caution for the community, the board and executive director made the decision to conduct their important fundraiser event virtually to accommodate the many supporters who give to the organization. Funds raised will ensure that clients in the community will continue to receive vital health and educational services at no charge.
 
This year's event, starting at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, is open to all at no charge and will be broadcast on The Friends of The PCC Facebook page and The Pregnancy Care Center's YouTube Channel.  The video event will last less than an hour and will highlight the work of the care center, honor the lifesaving individuals that have kept the mission going, and feature a local resident's powerful story of how she received help and hope at The Pregnancy Care Center. The Pregnancy Care Center is funded solely through donations from area businesses, churches, individuals and organizations and does not receive any state or federal funding. The annual banquet is the center's largest fundraising event of the year and with the trying economic times it is essential that the center reaches their $20,000 fundraising goal.
