DENTON, Texas, Nov. 7, 2013 /Christian Newswire/ -- Pastor Emilio Ramos of Heritage Grace Community Church in Frisco, TX, and author of ConvertTheBook.com preaches the gospel every week in the free speech area at the University of North Texas, usually without incident. But Wednesday, October 23rd was a different day altogether. There was a gas leak on campus and the authorities there re-directed students to their classes in such a way that they ended up walking right by Pastor Emilio. Soon the crowd doubled, then tripled, to about two hundred students who listened intently to the dialogue that Emilio was having with individual students. One student, who identified himself as "Pagan," took exception to Emilio's message, came up behind him and spit on the back of his head. Shockingly, no one did or said anything. Shortly after, a few more students objected to his preaching and began to curse and circle him. A watchful police officer saw what was happening, quickly diffused the situation, and stayed until Pastor Emilio was done. This incident may have stopped many from such a task, but not Pastor Ramos; he has continued his preaching at local colleges in the DFW area, including the University of North Texas.
